Laura is a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas Books 1 through 10.

During her undergraduate study, Laura had the opportunity to take pedagogy courses and complete her Suzuki Teacher Training from Pre-Twinkle through Book 4 with Carol Smith. Through her pedagogy training, Laura began coaching chamber music with Vanderbilt Pre-College Students and also built a small studio of private students. Laura continued her Suzuki training through all Suzuki Book 10 by attending Summer Institutes and has taken courses with Teri Einfeldt, Linda Fiore, Kirsten Marshall, Judy Bossuat-Gallic and Lynn McCall. Laura frequently attends workshops and SAA conferences and loves learning from and observing Master teachers.

Laura began her graduate studies at New England Conservatory in 2016 and in her second year joined the faculty of NEC’s Preparatory School where she teaches private violin and viola lessons, violin ensembles, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education. While at NEC Laura studied pedagogy under Magdalena Richter. Having graduated with her Masters in 2018, Laura endeavors to prioritize working with young musicians for the duration of her career, and to be a “life-long learner” in furthering her pedagogical awareness.
